Star Party: Alta Murrieta Elementary School

Murrieta > B-eautiful night in Murrieta. Stars of the show were an iridium flare at -8 magnitude, and a passover of the Mir space station, perhaps the last we'll see. (sniff) Sadly, Marit, Queen of Alta Murrieta Star Parties for last several years was a no-show.

Abby Reinke Elementary

> Nice evening... for CLUBSTERS!!! This was the only star party in memory in which we actually had more telescopes than people. BUT! the few kids who saw Jupiter and Saturn and other heavenly objects were appreciative. And the pizza was great.

Cub Scout Troup 302

Star Party > Crystal clear evening two consecutive times???!!! This time is was for the Cub Scouts at the world famous Temeku Hills Park across the street from the jinxed Rancho Elementary. Once we saw the Moon and Venus (and lost half the crowd) Jupiter and Saturn rose in the east. Mr Croulet gave the best impromptu lecture - since Ritter's class last Thursday - to the cubsters and their parents. Thanks, Cubbies, for the food and the dessert (and the donation!)

YES! Curious George showed up much to the delight of several of our clubsters! The Man Who Saved Star Night - Mr Recchia (aka ProblemSolver Man) covered the flood of lights that were making the evening less than perfect. Thanks ProblemSolver Man!!!
