Redhawk Elementary School

> (Howie was there!) Clouds threatened, BUT just at the last moment broke enough that we could show a couple hundred people Jupiter, Saturn, and Venus - all this with only FOUR scopes. (Feel sorry for us.) And yes, Howie flew over... again and again and again. Mrs Entsminger's class gave us another cool thank-you card. Thanks again, Mrs Entsminger! And Robert Palmer, like Mr Croulet last nite, went to the wrong school! What a nut!

Vail Elementary Star Party

> (Howie was there!) Vail invited us out for the umpteenth time. But this time there was no eclipse, just nice, pretty skies. Problems: (1) School night means most clubsters can't come out after the streetlights go on, so there were only 4 scopes and 300 thousand people, (2) Mr Croulet went to the wrong schools and showed up late. Asks Ritter, the orginator of the faux pas, "Vail, Vail Ranch... What's the difference?" Answer: About ten miles. Happiness: Howie flew over the place and honked and waved. Still crazy Howie after all these years. We all celebrate Tony Saldivar looking through a telescope for his very first time. Aaaaaah. (Tony, in a way only Tony can, exclaims, "This sucks.")
